SC Approves Political Advertisements on Public Utility Vehicles!

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has amended its memorandum circular after the Supreme Court ruled that political advertisements be allowed in public utility vehicles (PUV)

In LTFRB Memorandum Circular 2015-029, the LTFRB lifted the prohibition of political ads on PUVs such as jeeps, buses, taxis, pedicabs, and tricycles.

This was based on Supreme Court Resolution 206020 that ruled in favour of 1-United Transport Koalisyon (1-UTAK) which filed a petition against the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
